Morning is about getting your skin ready for the day. Evening is about washing the day away and putting back what dry skin needs. Body care is somewhere in between — a little maintenance, a little pleasure.

We've put our products in an order that makes sense, but this isn't a set of rules. Start where you are, skip what you don't need, and pay attention to what your skin tells you.

Life on our Orcas Island farm is pretty wonderful—and pretty hard on my skin. Sun, wind, dirt, and long days outdoors got me thinking about what my skin really needs. And after one too many Instagram posts promising the latest skincare miracle, I decided to start making my own.

Here's what I know: Drink water. Get a good night's sleep. Protect your skin from the sun. Those three habits will do more for your skin than most products ever will. But what about everything else we're being sold?

What I wanted was surprisingly hard to find: beautiful skincare without the nonsense. Thoughtful formulas. Exceptional ingredients. Fewer ingredients when fewer will do. And nothing added just because it sounds impressive on a label.

I love doing the research, asking questions, and putting my fairly well-developed BS meter to work. You deserve to know what's going on your skin, why it's there, and what you can realistically expect it to do.
