Whipped Tallow Moisturizer - Choose Your Scent
5.0 out of 5 —5.01 review
This is the jar people reach for when skin feels dry enough to need real cushion. Whipped tallow creates the richness; jojoba and emu oil help it melt and spread so you can use a small amount exactly where you need it. Read more

THREE INGREDIENTS WORTH KNOWING
Grass-fed TallowRendered fat from grass-fed cattle, solid at room temperature and rich in the same fatty acids found in skin's own surface lipids. Found in Dial it Back, Daily Defense and all our Tallow Whips.Melts on contact with warm skin and leaves it feeling cushioned and soft. Once it has sunk in, there is no greasy film left. Beef tallow in skincare primarily functions as a heavy emollient and occlusive, backed by basic lipid composition and limited scoping reviews rather than robust, controlled human clinical trials.More about Grass-fed Tallow → • Jojoba OilA liquid wax ester pressed from the seed of the jojoba shrub — chemically a wax rather than an oil. Found in our Dial it Back and all our Tallow WhipsMakes a heavy balm spread easily under your fingers, so it sinks in instead of sitting on top of your skin. Jojoba oil is not a true triglyceride oil; it is composed of long-chain liquid wax esters that closely mimic human sebumMore about Jojoba Oil → • Emu Oil

WHY YOUR SKIN CARES
Tallow gives the whip its rich, protective emollient feel. Jojoba improves spread and leaves skin feeling supple. Emu oil contributes additional conditioning and helps create the distinctive melt-on-contact texture customers associate with the whip.

Herbaceous and fruity aroma with soft floral notes and a slight camphorous, balsamic undertone

How It Feels

Airy in the jar, rich as it melts, and silky as you work it into skin. A little goes a long way.

Your Ritual

Warm a small amount between fingertips, then massage into clean, dry skin. Use after Barely Dressed only where you want a richer layer, or use it on its own whenever skin feels dry or weather-exposed.

Why So Many Scents?

Because scent changes the experience. Essential oils aren't just there to make our Tallow Whips smell good. Aroma is deeply connected to mood, memory and the rituals we associate with slowing down, waking up or simply feeling good in our skin. That's why we offer everything from quiet lavender and rose to bright citrus, green garden herbs and earthy vetiver. Choose the one that makes you want to open the jar.

There is legitimate research into aromatherapy and mood, anxiety and sleep—particularly lavender—but we let the scent create the experience rather than promise a medical result.

A NOTE ABOUT MUSCLE MANIA

Muscle Mania is our outlier. Made with magnesium, menthol and black pepper essential oil, it's the whip to reach for when shoulders, legs or feet feel like they've had a long day. Massage a small amount into the area and enjoy the rich tallow moisture and cooling menthol sensation. Because we have menthol and black pepper essential oil in this whip, do not use on face, especially around eyes and nose or mouth and do not use on your delicates.

Jojoba adds slip and softness without making the finish feel overly greasy. Emu oil contributes a silky, conditioned feel that makes the whip easy to spread over rough or weather-exposed areas. Essential oils are kept restrained so scent stays close to the skin but please, if using a tallow whip on your face, try out just a little as skin can be reactive to essential oils or go with Plain Jane, which is fragrance and essential oil free.

Storage and Shelf Life

Our tallow based skincare products are all shelf stable for six months or longer. You do not have to keep your whip in the fridge but you sure don't want to leave it in the sun or in a hot car or purse. If it does melt, don't worry. You can literally put it in the fridge to firm up and use or even use a stick blender to whip it back up. Just spoon it out of the jar, whip using an appropriate container, and put it back in the jar.

Thank You Carol for sending out my order of Dial It Back, which I love, I can't believe in just a few nights using this product has made such a change in my face and neck...my face is cleared of all the blotches I had, it really is amazing. The Daily Defense balm is so creamy and wonderful fragrance, leaving my skin so soft and clear. I feel it protects my skin all day long. The Blue Hour Tansy Tallow also wonderful with it's fragrance, I use it mainly for any dry spots I have on my legs and arms...Your Products are Amazing. Thank You
